About the library
We started in 2019 as a weekend project of three neighbours who found boxes of negatives in a cellar on Rue Dupleix.
Today the archive holds over two thousand catalogued images, most of them donated by families of the quarter. We do not sell prints to private buyers; licences are granted to schools, museums and publishers for non-commercial and editorial use.
Plates from 1893–1910 come from the municipal survey of the quarter and are digitised from the public-domain collections of Paris Musées (CC0). Everything after 1960 is donated or shot by our members.
